The 2023 Ford Maverick is styled to be reminiscent of the classic muscle cars from the 1960s and ’70s. On the other hand, the Nissan Frontier has an aggressive look that appeals more to those who enjoy racing or off-road driving. It’s a bit bigger than the Maverick and can carry up to 7 people instead of 6—which may not seem like a big deal until you have six kids in your car!
The 2023 Ford Maverick’s front end features large headlights with LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and somewhat small foglights below them. However, if you find a vehicle with an automatic transmission, you may see slightly better fuel efficiency than these numbers indicate, thanks to the more efficient gearing offered by an automatic transmission compared with the manual transmission found on both of these trucks.

If you’re looking for a midsize pickup with looks, capability, and comfort that won’t break the bank, there’s no question which truck you should get: The 2023 Ford Ranger. In most respects, it’s the best.
