Whether you need to reset your Ford clock after the car’s battery has been disconnected, to account for Daylights Savings Time (DST), or simply because it has become inaccurate over time, here is a step-by-step guide on how to adjust the clock in your car so you will never run late. Depending on the year and make of your car, the instructions will differ. Newer Ford models tend to rely on the SYNC 4 infotainment system which features a touchscreen for greater ease while older Ford models might make use of physical buttons to adjust the time. Either way, it is a quick and simple process. Let’s begin!

2003 - 2007 Ford Models

On your dashboard, press the menu button until the words “Select Hours” or “Select Minutes” are displayed. Then, using the arrow buttons, change the time accordingly.

2008 - 2011 Ford Models

Press the “Clock” button on the dashboard. Once the display shows “Set time”, key in the appropriate time using the physical radio station preset buttons.

2012 -2013 Ford Models

Use the “M” or “H” buttons on your dashboard to activate the clock settings. Continue to use the same buttons to toggle the minutes and hours until you have set the desired time. Once the time has been set, select “OK” to confirm the time.

2014 - 2018 Ford Models

If you own a Ford vehicle made between 2014 and 2018, chances are your car utilizes the MyFord Touch communication and entertainment system which makes adjusting the clock in your car a breeze.

To set the clock on MyFord Touch Models:

  1. Press the Settings icon.
  2. Click on “Clock”.
  3. Use the + and - buttons on the touchscreen to adjust the time.

You can choose between the 12-hour and 24-hour modes or even activate GPS time synchronization allowing the system to automatically update the time according to your time zone. Once activated, you no longer have to worry about constantly adjusting the clock in your car! The system automatically saves any changes.

However, if your Ford model does not utilize the MyFord Touch communication and entertainment system, follow these instructions instead.

For Non-MyFord Touch Models:

  1. Press the button with a clock or select “Clock Settings” under “Menu”.
  2. Use the center arrow controls to change the time.
  3. Click on the “OK” button.

Newer Ford Models
